Stak Construction delivered the Block E window replacement and internal upgrade works within a live school environment, requiring careful staging and coordination to minimise disruption to day-to-day operations.
The primary scope involved replacing 64 existing timber windows with double-glazed aluminium joinery, significantly improving performance and durability. This was followed by a full internal upgrade, including new floor coverings, wall linings, architraves, and painting, all programmed to run efficiently alongside the joinery works.
Due to the presence of asbestos cladding, the project required strict control measures, including licensed removal support and daily air monitoring to ensure a safe environment for staff, students, and workers at all times.
Works were carefully staged and coordinated with the school, with classrooms handed back on time and internal finishing completed after hours to avoid disruption. Early procurement and strong supplier coordination ensured all materials, including large feature windows, were delivered and installed without impacting the programme.
The project was completed safely, on time, and to a high standard, reinforcing Stak Construction’s capability in delivering complex upgrade works within live education environments.

Stak Construction delivered a comprehensive upgrade at Pakuranga Heights Primary School.
The primary scope involved the removal of existing asbestos cladding and full re-cladding of the building, along with the installation of new aluminium joinery to improve durability and weather performance. As part of the external works, we also completed a full roof replacement, along with roofing works to an additional building where the existing membrane roof was removed and replaced with a new system. To enhance usability, a new canopy structure and deck area were constructed, providing covered area and improved outdoor space for students and staff.
Internal works included a complete refurbishment of learning spaces, delivering new floor finishes, wall linings, ceilings, and associated upgrades in line with Ministry of Education standards. A separate block also underwent a full toilet refurbishment, including new sanitary fixtures, cubicles, and finishes.
Project Name: Baverstock Oaks School – Office Fit-Out & Reception Upgrade

Stak Construction delivered a modern office fit-out and reception upgrade at Baverstock Oaks School, transforming the existing space into a functional and welcoming administrative environment. Custom joinery was installed throughout, featuring woodgrain finishes to create a warm and professional finish across all areas.The reception was designed as a key feature of the space, including a curved front desk with integrated Autex acoustic linings, LED lighting.Works also included upgraded lighting systems, relocation of electrical services, tinted glazing, and full integration of power and data throughout the workspace. A feature wall incorporating the school’s branding was installed to enhance the overall identity of the space.

New vinyl flooring systems were installed with full floor preparation and coving, along with new sanitary fixtures, partitions, and hardware.Wall finishes were upgraded with the installation of Resco linings over existing substrates, alongside new lighting and ventilation systems to enhance performance and usability of the spaces. Plumbing works included installation of new pipework, mixer taps, and full services integration to support the upgraded facilities.The project required careful staging and coordination, with works programmed around school operations and holiday periods to minimise disruption to students and staff.

Stak Construction delivered the refurbishment of Block 1 classrooms at Kelston Primary School, upgrading teaching spaces to meet current Ministry of Education DQLS standards.
The primary scope involved lifecycle replacement of internal finishes, including removal of existing carpets and wall linings, and installation of new carpet tiles and acoustic wall coverings (Autex). New suspended ceiling systems and lighting were installed to improve acoustic performance and overall functionality of the learning spaces.
Additional works included internal make-good, painting, and services upgrades to deliver a complete internal refresh across the classrooms.

Stak Construction delivered upgrade works at Taupaki Primary School, with the primary scope focused on seismic strengthening of existing classroom buildings to improve structural integrity and long-term performance. The works involved the installation of over 42 new foundation piles beneath the classrooms, along with the addition of exposed cross bracing within the ceiling structure, providing both structural stability and a visible reinforcement of the building’s framework. These works required careful planning and coordination within a live school environment. Alongside the structural works, Stak completed toilet refurbishment works to Blocks 1, 2 and 5, including new sanitary ware, partitions, floor finishes, wall linings, and plumbing upgrades in line with Ministry of Education standards. Additional works included roofing repairs and upgrades, joinery replacements where required, and internal upgrades within the technology block, delivering a comprehensive improvement across multiple areas of the school. The project involved multiple workstreams across structural, roofing, and internal upgrades, requiring efficient staging, strong health and safety controls, and close coordination with the school. A small café renovation recently completed for one of our valued clients — combining a full interior remodel with a seismic strengthening upgrade to this beautiful heritage building. The project involved reconfiguring classrooms 18, 19, and 20, including the creation of new openings between spaces to improve connectivity and visibility, along with the construction of breakout areas. Existing toilets and cloak bays were upgraded as part of the works, alongside full lifecycle replacements of floor coverings, wall linings, lighting, and heating systems to meet Ministry of Education DQLS standards.
Additional works included installation of new aluminium windows and doors, sliding glass doors to connect to future outdoor learning areas, structural steel installation, new external cladding, and full internal finishes including painting, flooring, and acoustic wall coverings.

Project Name: Borich road - house renovation and deck works

STAK Construction completed a full residential refurbishment at a private dwelling in Glen Eden, involving both interior and exterior upgrade works to improve the overall condition, functionality and appearance of the home. The project included a full exterior chemwash and repaint of the house, along with repainting of boundary fencing to restore the external finish. Internally, works involved repairs to damaged wall linings, full interior painting, and the replacement of multiple internal and wardrobe doors including new hardware throughout. Bathroom upgrades were undertaken, including floor repairs due to water damage, installation of a new shower system, and a new vanity unit. Plumbing connections were carried out to suit the upgraded fixtures. The existing kitchen was demolished and replaced with a new kitchen installation, including cabinetry, engineered stone benchtops, and new appliances. Additional works included window sill repairs and finishing details to ensure a consistent standard across the home. Externally, STAK Construction also completed new decking and balustrade works, including structural strengthening, installation of new timber decking, and compliant balustrade construction to improve safety and usability of the outdoor space. The project was delivered with a focus on quality finishes, coordination of multiple trades, and efficient programme management within an occupied residential environment.
